How do I uninstall the Epson printer and Epson Scan software in Windows or OS X?

  • Follow the instructions below for your computer system:
    Windows
    1. Turn off the Artisan.
    2. Disconnect the USB cable from the Artisan.
    3. Click Start or , and select Programs or All Programs.
    4. Select Epson or Epson Printers, then select Epson Printer Software Uninstall.
    5. Note:
      With Windows Vista, click Continue, then go to the next step.
    6. In the next window, select EPSON Artisan 700 Series and click OK. Then follow the on-screen instructions.
    7. Open the Windows Control Panel, then click Uninstall a program under Programs (Windows Vista) or double-click Add or Remove Programs (other Windows versions).
    8. Click EPSON Scan in the list of currently installed programs and click Uninstall/Change (Windows Vista) or Change/Remove (Windows XP or 2000).
    9. Note:
      With Windows Vista, click Continue, click Next, and continue with step 9.
    10. When the confirmation window appears, click Yes.
    11. Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall Epson Scan.
    12. In some cases, a message may appear to prompt you to restart the computer. If so, make sure Yes, I want to restart my computer now is selected and click Finish.
    13. Restart your computer.
    Macintosh
    1. Insert the Artisan 700 Series software CD-ROM in your CD-ROM or DVD drive.
    2. Double-click the Epson CD-ROM icon on your desktop.
    3. Open the Common folder, then open the EPSON Scan folder.
    4. Double-click the EPSON Scan Installer icon.
    5. When the Installer window appears, select Uninstall from the pop-up menu at the top and click the Uninstall button.
    6. Open the English folder, then open the OSX folder in the CD-ROM window.
    7. Double click the Installer icon.
    8. When the Installer window appears, select Uninstall from the pop-up menu at the top and click the Uninstall button.
    9. Do one of the following:
    10. Mac OS X 10.5
      Select System Preferences, Print & Fax, Artisan 700, and then click the button.
      Mac OS X 10.3 or 10.4
      Open the Applications folder on your hard drive, select Utilities, Printer Setup Utility, Artisan 700, and then click Delete.
    11. Restart your Macintosh.
