excellent for the money
this printer is great for the price. it includes all the features that are included on many other higher end all-in-ones but without the hefty price tag. the ink can get a little expensive but for the amount of photos and documents you can print from the standard size ink cartridge you will not have to buy ink that often. when you do buy ink for it though i would suggest to get the high cap ink cartridges so that you don't need to buy ink that often. i love how you can print photos from this printer without having to turn on a computer since the printer has a memory card reader AND a usb flash drive reader built-in. the touch controls work great and the LCD panel that you use to view the pictures that you are going to print all make printing a breeze even for professional photographers. you can easily print 4x6 up to letter size photos without ever touching a computer. you can print legal size documents from this printer too. comparing my old Epson Stylus NX300 to this one the choice is very clear. if you need to buy a printer for all purpose use then this printer would be perfect for you.

Epson Artisan 725
This is a useless piece of equipment. Do not purchase. I've spent $ and used up cartridges for each color simply trying to calibrate the print output. Head cleaning does not solve problem - one/two nozzles are bad, and after several cleanings, those nozzles are fine, but other nozzles are bad. Process is neverending and ends up using up cartridges (see above). Grayscale photos always print with too much cyan.

Paper feed a major problem
I agree with other writers about the poor paper feed of this printer. It sucks up 2,3,and 4 sheets at a time, so forget about using two-sided printing. It prints on the top half of one page and the bottom half of the next page it sucks up, so the wastage is terrible. And labels? Forget it! I have to put in six sheets of labels to get one page because I never know how many sheets it's going to suck up. Then it crinkles the other pages so they're useless.

Go back to Epson 4200--it works far better
Purchased an Artisan 725 and never, never got it to do anything but print. Never was able to make it scan, etc.
Its predecessor, the Epson 4200, printed, scanned easily and the instructions were easy to understand. The 725 was never more than a printer. If it does something else, it sure was a mystery to me.
Save your money and sanity. Stick with the 4200.

Communication errors
Bought the printer for wireless printing in the household and all it has done is make my wife and kids angry all the time. We set it up to communicate with our wi-fi it printed for a couple of days then it began giving us communication error messsages. I have tried everything to reconnect to our wi-fi. it says connected but won't accept the print messages from our laptops, desktops or iphones.
I'm fed up is a nice way to say I give up.

Epson printers
My Epson 725 is up to par and gives me all the features I need. The scanner is excellent and printing is easy and very good. I was surprised in the quality of the printing on CDs and DVDs. This is my second Epson printer and when this one is retired the next one will be an Epson. A friend of mine does a lot of graphic in his field and he would not work without his Artisan.
Thanks Epson

725 Artisan All in One Printer
I do like it but found out that it doesn't seem to cover Airplay! Some things you print on ipad but your email canot like coupons you may get. i figured that wifi would cover everything but does not. Also would like a different scanner with it, different ink so it doesn't dry off.

Artisan 725
Fast and very good quality photo printing. The Artisan series are the best for photo and CD printing. Only 1 issue, you have to be carefull handling CD, as the CD can be stuck easily behind the printing mecanism and is very painfull to remove. I am recomending the Artisan series to any artist that want to print their arts.
